Devoted Kylie Minogue fans unhappy with BRIT Awards snub

Devoted Kylie Minogue fans were left disappointed when the singer's hit song padam padam It was not nominated in the Best International Song category at the BRIT Awards.

Kylie has been nominated in the International Artist of the Year category and is also preparing to perform at the awards ceremony in March.

However, the 55-year-old's fans are not happy with her song. padam padam – which was their first song in 12 years to reach the top 10 singles chart – being snubbed in the BRIT Award nominations.

Songs that made it to the nominations included What was I made for? by Billie Eilish, flowers by Miley Cyrus, Paint the town red by Doja Cat, Take it easy by Rema, kill bill by SZA, Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo and more.

Another wrote: “We need to talk about REAL awards snubs: Kylie Minogue wasn't nominated for best pop song of the year for the BRITs.”

“Kylie snubbed by the British, I'm going to kill someone…” shouted another last week, with a third adding:

A third fan asked: “@BRITs do you know the song Padam Padam or are you living on Mars???????”

One fan, however, tried to explain why the song didn't make the list, writing: “People start by saying that Padam Padam is not nominated here. This category is based on sales/streams. Top 10 International Se Songs “You name the eligibility period, then the academy votes for your favourite. When the academy was able to choose Kylie (international artist), they did so rightly! #BRITs.”
