Kylian Mbappé's farewell in the Champions League match took PSG to the quarterfinals against Real Sociedad
Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé put in an incredible display, defeating Real Sociedad 2-1 for a 4-1 aggregate win in the Champions League.
PSG is now heading to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Mbappé, who is about to leave PSG, opened each half with a well-taken goal to highlight his extraordinary abilities.
From the start, PSG took advantage of counterattacks, with Mbappé's blistering pace creating constant threats. The French captain's impact was undeniable, scoring 11 of PSG's last 15 goals in Champions League qualifiers. Reflecting on the match, Mbappé said: “We knew straight away that we couldn't sleep. Real Sociedad, dealing with injuries and a recent drop in form, struggled to match PSG's intensity. A late consolation goal from Mikel Merino in the 89th minute failed to alter the result as PSG secured a well-deserved place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
