  • “If encryption was unreal, why was PTI founder sentenced?”

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in his latest jibe at the incumbent government on Friday, said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif came to Parliament through the “defective” Form 47, once again alleging that “the worst fraud in history” occurred in recent years. elections.

“The current government at the Center was formed after stealing 180 seats from the PTI,” CM Gandapur said while talking to reporters outside a court on Friday.

He went on to say that it would be useless to talk to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the latter became a legislator on the basis of Form 47 results, while criticizing the 2024 general elections.

As the encryption issue resurfaces after US Undersecretary of State Donald Lu's testimony before a Congressional panel, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader insisted the party's stance remained unchanged. changes regarding the diplomatic cable, since it was a “conspiracy.” and foreign “intervention” in Pakistan's internal affairs.

“Cipher was a conspiracy […] Our position remains the same.”

Pointing to the former Pakistani envoy in the United States, Gandapur added that Asad Majeed had confirmed the veracity of Lu's statement about the cipher, and that the former would have to be questioned about the exact source of the cipher if no meeting took place.

The prime minister also questioned why PTI founder Imran Khan was sentenced if encryption did not exist according to Lu's testimony.

He said his party will not accept any kind of foreign intervention in the country at any cost.

The KP CM further stated that the incumbent government could not deliver due to lack of support from the nationals. To a question, Gandapur replied that the PTI founder will never accept any agreement with the current rulers.

To another question, he said that in KP they were solving public problems. He added that the Center must pay the funds owed to the province of KP.

It is noteworthy that some political parties, including the party founded by Imran, have been alleging that the returning officers (RO) manipulated the results of the 2024 elections as they did not follow the records of Form 45 prepared by the presiding officers (PO) in the electoral colleges. and published completely different results on Form 47.

Gandapur made the above comments after appearing before different courts to seek redress in different cases. The prime minister attended a hearing at the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad with his lawyers and filed a pre-arrest bail plea in a case related to vandalism at the federal capital's judicial complex.

The ATC approved CM Gandapur's pre-arrest bail plea and ordered him to submit bail bonds of Rs 50,000.

During the hearing, Gandapur's lawyer said that the politician was nominated in the First Information Report (FIR), but he has no connection with the vandalism incident at the court complex as he was not present there.

Defense lawyer Raja Zahoorul Hassan told the court that 50 FIRs were lodged against the politician but he was forcibly prevented from reaching the courtroom.

Later, Gandapur moved to Islamabad kachehri to stay the arrest warrants issued by the courts of a civil judge and a judicial magistrate in separate cases registered at Bani Gala police station and Golra police station.
