King Charles is starting to wade through some very murky waters, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are to blame.
A former staffer with insider knowledge of the workings and sentiments of the Firm and its monarch has just stepped forward with admissions about the Sussexes.
According to the findings they admitted to The Daily Beast, “foreign visits may seem like a diversion, but they are actually a matter of foreign policy.”
And “it is about promoting the United Kingdom and building diplomatic and commercial alliances on behalf of the government.”
But “Harry and Meghan have different priorities because they are no longer working royals,” so “if these rival overseas tours become a regular occurrence, it could complicate things.”
He also pointed out the stark differences between the royals and the Sussexes by adding: “The reason they went to Nigeria was to promote Invictus and themselves,” and “that's not what royal tours are about.”
