King Charles takes tough stance against Prince Andrew

King Charles will soon take a final stance on the future of his “disgraced” brother Prince Andrew amid their ongoing row over the Royal Lodge.

Discussing the Duke of York's inability to maintain his current residence, a royal expert has urged the monarch to make a final decision about his brother.

The expert said King Charles should set a precedent of accountability by moving Andrew to Frogmore Cottage, whose previous residents were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Talking with GB News, Royal expert and commentator Lee Cohen said Charles's ousting of Andrew from his 30-property estate would show that no member of the royal family is above reproach.

“He has been generous with his brother, supporting him financially,” Lee said of Charles’ support for Andrew. “He doesn’t seem to need a bigger house.”

The expert shared how bad Charles would look if he couldn't get Andrew to leave the Lodge. “It's not being bad,” he said.

“This is not about evicting Prince Andrew. This is about protecting the integrity of the monarchy and protecting it from future harm,” she said. “This is about ensuring institutional clarity and focusing on the roles of people associated with the institution.”

Lee went on to say that it “aligns privileges with responsibilities and sets a precedent for accountability by taking a firm stance on Prince Andrew’s residences.”

“This would convey that no member, regardless of birthright, is above reproach.”
