King Charles' stepson issues important statement amid Prince Harry's return to UK

King Charles' stepson Tom Parker-Bowles has issued an important update on the monarch's health as he prepares for an upcoming royal tour to Australia and Samoa.

While promoting her new cookbook, Cooking and The Crown, Parker-Bowles revealed that the King's cancer treatment “is going well”.

Parker-Bowles, Queen Camilla's son from her previous marriage, also praised his mother's resilience in supporting her husband.

At the event, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the King and Queen for their support with the book, which is his ninth publication, The express.

Speaking about Charles' health, Parker-Bowles said the monarch's doctor “says treatment is going well” and also said of Camilla: “She's strong, my mother.”

The update on the King's health comes as he prepares for a demanding international tour, bringing relief that his treatment is progressing positively.

This comes as Prince Harry announces his return to the UK on September 30 to attend the WellChild Awards. It is yet to be confirmed whether the Duke will meet Charles during his stay in the country.
