King Charles has honored Sir Billy Boston's services for the Rugby League on Tuesday.

The monarch has taken a great cavalry during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

According to the images shared by the official Instagram mango of the royal family, Sir Billy became the first athlete to receive gentleman for the Rugby League.

The statement said: “Today at Buckingham Palace, Sir Billy Boston became the first athlete to receive a cavalry for the Rugby League services.”

“The King introduced Sir Billy, who is considered one of the best players of the Rugby League of all time, scoring a British record of 571 attempts and 488 appearances for @wiganwarriorsrl, with his badge during a ceremony at the Buckingham Palace,” reads more.

The images showed Sir Billy's emotion after being named the knight by King Charles. He was surrounded by his family when he received the honor, which also seemed delighted.
