King Charles and Prince William “desperately” need Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the royal family has been beset by major challenges, a source has claimed.
According to a report by In touch weeklyWith the monarch and Kate Middleton diagnosed with cancer respectively, and Charles' plans for a scaled-back monarchy, the royal family appears to be in trouble.
The King and Prince of Wales could therefore be keen to reconcile with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the royal source made the surprising claim.
However, they noted that the duo would only welcome Harry and Meghan back into the royal family if they apologize for their past actions.
“Charles and William could be open to reconciliation, if only to have two more people for official functions, especially in places where no one else wants to go,” the source said.
The source noted that the royals could use some extra help with official duties, especially in undesirable locations, especially after Harry and Meghan's successful international trips to Nigeria and Colombia.
However, the source stressed that the rift between the two sides will not be easily repaired and that Harry and Meghan need the royals more than the royals need them.
