Kimberly Hébert Gregory, better known as HBO's director in the “main vice” of HBO, has died. She was 52 years old.
A cause of death was not immediately reported.
Gregory's ex -husband Chester Gregory confirmed his death on an Instagram post.
“You were an incarnate brightness, a black woman whose mind lit each room, whose presence carried fire and grace,” he wrote. “Much more than ex -wife, you were my friend. Our son, the song we wrote together, is the living echo of your light.”
Walton Goggins, the outbreak of “White Lotus” that co -starred in Gregory in “Vice Directors”, the HBO series that premiered in 2016 and lasted two seasons, was among several artists who paid tribute to social networks.
“We lost one of the best yesterday … one of the best I have worked with,” Goggins wrote in his Instagram publication. “I had the honor … the good fortune to meet, spend months working with this queen in Viceirios.”
Others who remembered Gregory included Kym Whitley, Leslie Odom Jr. and Jason Ritter.
Gregory's character in “Vice Directors”, Dr. Belinda Brown, heads of Chocas with the rival directors of the Neal Gamby High School (co -creator Danny McBride) and Lee Russell (Goggins).
