Kendrick Lamar appears in public for the first time after the fight with Drake

After a legendary rap battle with Drake, Kendrick Lamar surprised Compton College students at their graduation ceremony by delivering the commencement speech.

“I still believe in Compton,” the Compton native told the students as he appeared in the middle of the ceremony.

“Compton has always been the future for me. I believe we raise some of the most incredible individuals, creators, intellectuals and talents. “We had it from day one.”

He added: “I traveled the world, there is no place like it here… I still believe in everything we are doing. Brick by brick.”

Sharing words of wisdom with the students, who were from Generation Z, he said, “It's time for us to change the narratives,” adding, “Some people tell us, 'This generation doesn't have what it takes, Generation Z.' “They try to tear us down and say we don't know what we're doing.”

“However, they are wrong. Do you know why? Because not only do you all have what it takes, but you also have something even bigger: you all have the heart… You can all come out here and tell and express your feelings” . 'every thought and say it with conviction and passion and stand your ground and don't apologize for it.'
