Katy Perry made an unforgivable mistake that left fans gasping.
On Sunday, July 14, the singer took to her official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and wished the England team good luck ahead of their Euro 2024 final, but things didn't go in the right direction for Katy.
He wrote on social media: “FOOTBALL IS COMING HOME” and closed the sentence with an emoji of a flag that does not belong to England, crushing their spirit of enthusiasm.
It seems the singer made a mistake when selecting emojis, as she opted for the UK flag.
However, before any clarification could come, fans were quick to correct their mistake.
One social media user said: “This is the flag (the England flag). You’re welcome.”
Another wrote: “Thanks sister, next time try to use the correct flag.”
“Katy, I'm (England flag emoji). Pretty sure the rest of the UK won't be cheering for England,” a third follower corrected her.
