Kate Middleton's 'harshest' attack on Meghan Markle's racist allegations revealed

Kate Middleton stood firm in sending a strong message following Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's claims of racism.

The Princess of Wales, who was the Duchess of Cambridge at the time, was keen to dismiss any rumours about racism within the Royal Family.

In a statement from the Palace in 2021, it said: “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.

Meghan and Harry have accused an unnamed member of the Royal Family of speaking out about the skin colour of their son, Archie, before his birth.

“While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately,” the palace said.

Now, Robert Jobson has revealed how Kate pushed for tougher recruitment.

Writing for MailOnline, she said: “The original draft of the statement had been much softer, but both William and Catherine had wanted to toughen it up.

“It was the Duchess of Cambridge herself who coined the powerful phrase 'memories may vary'.”

“Her husband also disputed the allegations, telling reporters: 'We are not a racist family at all.'
