Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce: who has the upper hand?

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce is still not finalized

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce is underway after the singer recently filed without a lawyer.

TMZ reported that Ben and J.Lo do not have a prenuptial agreement, which could make their divorce contentious.

As such, divorce experts have weighed in on the situation, with divorce attorney Holly Davis saying the balance is tipped more in Jennifer's favor: “The fact that she self-financed the movie about Ben being the love of her life and the humiliation she suffered when he actually broke up with her shortly after the failure of that movie and the world tour about their undying love will likely justify her favorable negotiations with Ben.”

“I predict it won't be a windfall given Ben's general attitude, behavior and coldness toward her publicly throughout the summer,” she said. The mirror.

“Jennifer Lopez’s decision to file her divorce papers without an attorney indicates that she is seeking to create the least dramatic divorce possible,” Holly said.

“He may be working privately with a legal team, but he keeps that in the background,” he added.

Holly said not having a prenup is “crazy” and “hopefully, they kept what they each brought to the marriage separate from any risky investments they made during the marriage.”

He said neither side appears to be in serious need of money, but noted that if the divorce takes too long to finalize, it would mean it has become contentious.

“If we don't see a conclusion soon, that could indicate that some aspect of this is becoming contentious and that there are some difficulties in reaching amicable agreements. So, it could be that time is running out,” he explained.

A spokesperson for www.divorcesolicitors.com echoed Holly's statements regarding Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce, saying: “J.Lo is more likely to come out on top. She wants to be compensated as she paid more financially during the marriage than Ben. He can compensate her for some of these things, just to make the issue go away and keep the peace.”
