Jennie Garth regrets working on the new version of 'Beverly Hills, 90210'

Jennie Garth has expressed her regret for participating in a reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Garth, who starred alongside original co-stars Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, said she now “wishes I'd never signed on.”

In an interview with PEOPLEThe 52-year-old actress said: “I wish I hadn't done it. No offence to them.”

“The producer was a friend of a friend and I remember him coming into my living room, sitting me down and telling me it was a once in a lifetime opportunity,” she said, adding: “He asked me to do it and I didn't know how to say no. But the people were so nice and gave them all the best.”

Her co-star Gabrielle Carteris added: “I never wanted… [do it]I was very surprised that they were doing a new show. I thought, “Do they want this so badly that you're going to try to reinvent it over and over again?”

Brian Austin Green, the show's other cast member, also added: “No offense at all, it's for me, we did 10 years of that show and it's okay, it's over.”
