Jane's Addiction makes first public post after shocking 'on-stage fight'

Jane's Addiction have offered a sincere apology to their fans after the band members had an argument that turned into a fight during a concert in Boston.

During Friday night's concert, the band's singer Perry Farrell was seen throwing a punch at guitarist Dave Navarro and abruptly ending their performance.

Now, on Instagram Stories, the rock band announced: “We want to extend a sincere apology to our fans for the events that occurred last night.”

The famous 80s rock band 'Jane's Addiction' has 16 upcoming concerts

The note continued: “As a result, we will be canceling tomorrow night's show in Bridgeport.”

The band also announced that concert-goers would receive a full refund, before signing off: “Thank you, Jane's Addiction.”

However, the boy band did not give further details about the rest of the tour, which is scheduled to continue until October 16.

The post comes after Farrell's wife took to social media and shared her husband's side of the story after he was criticized for hitting Navarro on stage.

She informed her followers that her husband was upset because the band's sound levels were drowning out his voice, and that led to his assault on the seemingly unsuspecting guitarist.

She wrote that Farrell was “a crazed beast” for half an hour after being taken offstage, adding that he broke down and “cried and cried.”

He concluded the post by saying: “Rather than speculate, I thought I'd post a first-person account of what happened.”
