FAISALABAD: A day after clarifying his party's stand on political dialogues, former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president and leader Dr Arif Alvi claimed that jailed party founder Imran Khan you are being told to “make a deal and leave the country.” ”.

Alvi, speaking to reporters in Faisalabad on Wednesday, said Khan rejected the offer and decided not to leave the country “at any cost”.

The former president predicted that those who were colluding to sentence Khan, the former prime minister, would face complete failure.

Commenting on the dialogue offers, the politician stated that his party is willing to hold talks with “interested parties, but not with non-interested parties.” He asked stakeholders to put aside hatred and practice compassion.

He also said that the stakeholders should not fear any kind of risk after the release of the PTI founder. Alvi demanded the release of the former prime minister, the supremacy of law in the country and the return of the party's mandate.

Alvi further said that his party could not retain the incumbent rulers who were so “powerless” when they came to power through “Form 47” and had no “authority” to take decisions.

Yesterday he said that his party would dialogue with whoever has the real power to make decisions.

He commented this when responding to a question about the impression that the prime minister ousted, imprisoned and removed from power by a parliamentary vote in April 2022, was not in favor of maintaining a dialogue with his political opponents to bring stability to the country.

The statement came after multiple calls from the current government urging the embattled party founded by Imran Khan to hold talks to find a solution to end the political crisis; However, the former ruling party has not given a clear response so far.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Alvi also said he has “lost all hope because accountability is impossible in Pakistan.”
