How Prince Harry copes with the sadness that comes with the 'noise outside'

Prince Harry is trying to keep a low profile amid mounting criticism following his sporting endorsement, a former royal staffer says.

The Duke of Sussex, who is currently nominated for the Pat Tillman Award for his contributions to sport with the Invictus Games, has created media havoc with his alleged inability to be considered for the award.

According to the New York Post, former royal butler Grant Harrold said: “[Harry and Meghan are] “I'm very used to criticism, given everything that has happened in recent years.”

He continued: “I'm sure they will drown out the outside noise by continuing with their normal, everyday lives and trying not to turn on the television or read the newspapers so much.

“They are constantly talked about, given their profiles.”

“As I recall, Harry was always an extremely private person, so I'm not sure how he'll feel about it, but I can imagine his way of dealing with the attention is to carry on as normal.”

He added that Harry personally would never want to create trouble or upset people.

He said: “If he thinks it's going to cause upset, then he's very likely to turn down the award… because he would never want to cause any upset and it would upset him to hear about the reaction.”
