Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to have made exaggerated promises for their brand.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who created Archewell after stepping down from the royal family in 2020, have put on a truly fine front for their fans.
Speaking about Sussex's blunder, Mark Borkowski tells Matt Wilkinson: “They stuck together and didn't take advice, and it became a catalogue of this stuff, they over-promised on a lot of the products they were going to bring.
“It started out as a brand that was going to create a well-intentioned foundation and do a great job.
“It was overhyped and overpromised, and when you overpromise and then underdeliver, then you become the story.
“There is a frenzy around negativity; there was never any positivity.”
She added: “They can't keep doing the same thing, what's happened to this new brand of jam she's coming out with? I mean, how ridiculous is that? Who does she want to be? The next Martha Stewart?”
He continued: “I think we're seeing desperation creeping in now and that should be a signal to say 'let's start again and learn from the royal family, after Diana', and bring in people who know what they're doing.”
