Gary Oldman opens up about his role in 'Slow Horses': 'No filter'

Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, is not known for his kindnesses in Slow horses and the actor said he enjoyed playing him as he is.

Following the trailer for season four, the Oscar winner sat down with the Los Angeles Times and discussed the unconventional method his character uses to conduct espionage.

“That and the fact that it's unfiltered, it's absolutely direct. The reason we enjoy it as an audience, and I enjoy playing it, is because we can't be like that in our lives.”

“And on top of that we give you James Bond, but with all his defects, dirty clothes and stale toast.”

In another part of the interview, the Batman Begins The star was excited about the Apple TV+ show, which was filmed in her home country of England.

“When I was introduced to him, I thought, ‘I only have one costume? It’s a spy costume and it’s in England? I don’t have to do an accent? ’ I couldn’t believe it,” she added. “He ticked all the boxes. And he was really good, too.”
