Although sports auctions and commercial cards are “Bree and Butter” of Goldin, the company is adventing more pop culture, said Revenue Chief Dave Amerman. This transition is documented in the Netflix program of Goldin, “King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch”, which premiered in 2023 and was renewed for a third season.

“We realized that we get so many music items and build them in our pop culture sales, we just want to separate it and do its own event outside of it,” Amerman told The Times.

Many of the Beatles articles belonged to the music promoter Chris Agajanianwho has been building his collection for more than 40 years. Agajanian has more than 2,000 pieces of memories of the Beatles and signed letters of origin for many of the items in the sale of Goldin.

In 2020, Goldin sold one of the most expensive albums of all time: a copy of “Double Fantasy” by Lennon and Yoko Ono that Lennon involuntarily signed for his murderer, Mark David Chapman, just before Beatle was shot in 1980. It was for $ 900,000.
