Eddie Murphy talks comeback plans despite not being “as agile”

Actor Eddie Murphy just weighed in on his plans for future stunts amid a reprise of Axel Foley, known as the Beverly Hills Cop.

For those who don't know, the original movie was made in 1984, when Eddie was 21, compared to now, when he's 63.

While talking about his plans for the stunt scenes this time, he admitted, “Now, I would rather not do any stunts.”

“We were filming something and the director said, 'I want you to get out of this place and run down those stairs.' After filming and he said, 'Can you come down more urgently? Faster?' And I said, 'No'! '”

“I thought, 'I'm not doing any action.' “Don’t call me unless you offer me the same kind of shit you would offer Morgan Freeman.”

It is pertinent to mention that Eddie has enjoyed great success for his role as Axel throughout his life and according to the actor himself, “Axel is an ordinary man. He is not a superhero or a super cop, he is the common man who rises to the occasion. I think that's why people like it. And more than anything, he is funny.”
