Donald Trump issues warning to Taylor Swift amid support for Kamala Harris

Taylor Swift has received a warning from Donald Trump, hours after she endorsed Kamala Harris for the US presidential election.

The singer took to Instagram this week to explain her reasons for confirming her vote for Harris.

Denying Swift's statement, Donald Trump has now predicted future suffering for the singer.

“I was not a fan of Taylor Swift,” Trump said in a morning interview with Fox & Friends on Wednesday, Sept. 11. “It was just a matter of time… But she is a very liberal person. She always seems to support a Democrat. And she will probably pay a price for that in the marketplace.”

This comes after Taylor Swift admitted that having Donald Trump as her future president is a horrible idea.

“Like many of you, I watched tonight's debate,” Swift, 34, wrote in her post accompanied by a photo of herself holding a cat. “If you haven't already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the issues that matter most to you. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read as much as I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.”

“It really brought to mind the fears I had about artificial intelligence and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift added. “It led me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The easiest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

“I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” the pop star continued. “I will be voting for @kamalaharris because she is fighting for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to champion. I think she is a talented and steady leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are guided by calm and not chaos. I was so encouraged and impressed by her choice of running mate, @timwalz, who has been championing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman's right to her own body for decades.”
