Daniel Draig has reportedly put his negotiating skills to work to secure his latest prize.

As fans may know, Daniel played Benoit Blanc in the 2019 American mystery film called Knives outwhich was written and directed by Rian Johnson.

According to a source with knowledge of In touch weekly“When Daniel signed on for the first Knives Out over five years ago, it was pretty much a low-budget independent film.”

They also explained: “Not only was it a smashing box office hit, but Netflix acquired the entire franchise and greenlit two more films, instantly making Daniel $100 million richer.”

“Thanks to his hard-earned fortune as Bond (which involved many secondary jobs, commercials and promotions beyond the acting and killer stunts), the Knives Out movies are very relaxing for Daniel,” the insider continued.

The source also claimed that with his negotiation skills Daniel was able to turn this low-budget project into a well-paying job.

“You show up and exchange banter with a bunch of famous and funny actors. And Daniel figured out how to charge 007 prices for these mystery movies with quick and easy casts that he can shoot in two months!” the source said, adding: “Daniel has been through this before, too.”

To conclude the conversation, they added: “His experience in Bond made him a master negotiator because he always left producers wondering if he would return to the role after his initial contract expired. He can do the same with Knives, and probably will!”
