In the second match of Euro 2024, Portugal defeated Turkiye 3-0, thanks to a great performance by captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who achieved another record of the football mega event.
Ronaldo becomes the biggest assister in the history of the Euro Cup. Since his debut in 2004, he has added eight assists in the competition after the match against Turkiye.
With 14 goals, Ronaldo already holds the record for most goals scored in the Euro Cup.
The Seleçao have secured their place in the second round of the competition with one match remaining.
Portugal took the lead with a goal from Bernardo Silva in the 21st minute, and seven minutes later, a fun own goal by Turkish defender Akaydin made it 2-0.
Showing off his magnificence once again, Ronaldo became the player with the most assists in the history of the competition by selflessly setting up Bruno Fernandes for the third goal.
At 39 years and 138 days, Ronaldo is the oldest player to record an assist in the tournament.
