Courteney Cox reflects on 'Friends' and its key milestone

Courteney Cox takes a moment to remember her show Friends as the comedy celebrated its 30th anniversary.

In a chat with PeopleThe 60-year-old actress who plays Monica Geller said: “It's crazy to me because it seems like time goes by so fast and I don't even notice,” adding: “We used to be like, 'Oh, I can't wait for this month' or 'God, it seems like forever'. I would never say that phrase again.”

The series ran for ten seasons and received universal acclaim, with its characters becoming pop culture icons.

“Monica is alive and well. Are you kidding me?” Courteney said humorously of the influence of her career-defining role.

While the series ended in 2004, the Scream star said she still hasn't watched it after admitting she hasn't seen it “in a while, but every time I come across it, I can't help but [watch].”

She continued: “That show is amazing. Every joke is worth it, every character is amazing and… [had] “The best writers in the world. I'm lucky that this continues through all generations. And that's a great blessing.”
