Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and legislator Sher Afzal Marwat, known for his outspoken demeanor and controversial statements, on Sunday admitted that corruption was rampant in his party's previous government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Replying to a question, the PTI leader said he did not raise the narrative of keeping former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala jail instead of his Bani Gala residence.

“Former KP chief minister Mahmood Khan now earns Rs 2.5 million a day from one of his mines,” he added.

Marwat remains in the spotlight due to his direct and controversial comments.

His comments irked PTI's ally in the assemblies when SIC president Sahibzada Hamid Raza on Friday warned PTI leaders against washing dirty linen in public, saying he had a lot to reveal but decided not to share due to her engagement to party founder Imran. Khan's cause.
