Corinne Foxx says Jamie Foxx is in all her wedding plans

Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne said the actor is making positive progress in his health recovery more than a year after he was hospitalized with a mystery illness. He might also be too involved in her wedding plans.

Foxx's father, who has largely stayed out of the public eye since 2023 and has vowed to one day speak out about the ordeal on his own terms, is doing “very well,” Corinne told ET in an interview published Tuesday. .

“He's doing amazing,” he said. “[I’m] Very grateful to be able to work in [“Beat Shazam”] with him and spending so much time with him. He's playing a lot of pickleball! That man and pickleball; It's like he's playing twice a day every day… It's quite a deal. He is totally into this.”

Foxx skipped his season 6 hosting duties on the musical game show “Beat Shazam” due to his illness, with Nick Cannon temporarily taking over. He has since returned for season 7, which premiered on May 28.

Corinne Foxx also said her father helped her plan her wedding to producer and director Joe Hooten.

“When I asked my dad for his list, he told me it only has 300 people,” he said. “I said, we'll have to cut back a little! I have cousins that I don't think I'm related to, you know what I mean? I have cousins and uncles and I wonder: are these family members? Who are these people!”

Other parts of Jamie Foxx's “vision” for the wedding include LED screens showing his daughter's face.

“I thought, 'I don't know anything about that,'” Corinne said.

One thing is certain: wedding guests will need to stock up on tissues.

“I'm a little worried about him walking me down the aisle,” she said. “Obviously he will be beautiful and amazing, but yes, he will be crying for sure.”
