Bahrain National Guard Commander extends gratitude to Pakistan Army for providing highly professional training

In recognition of his significant efforts and contributions towards enhancing bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Monday awarded the Order of the Military Medal First Class of Bahrain to the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS ), General Syed Asim Munir.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief, who is currently in Bahrain on a two-day official visit, met the kingdom’s top leaders, including King Al Khalifa, Prince heir Salman bin Hamad Al. Khalifa, the commander of the Bahrain Defense Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Matters of mutual interest, including bilateral military and security cooperation, were discussed during the meetings, the statement said.

“The dignitaries praised the achievements of Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism and continued efforts for regional peace and stability.”

He further said that the COAS was also the chief guest at the 27th Bahrain National Guard Uprising Day where he was warmly welcomed and given guard of honour. He also witnessed a demonstration related to an anti-terrorism training exercise.

The Commander of the Bahrain National Guard expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Pakistan Army for providing highly professional training to the Bahrain National Guard in military and counter-terrorism fields.
