Chris Evan and his wife can't decide whether to add a puppy or adopt an older dog.
In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, the 43-year-old actor revealed that he and his wife Alba Baptista couldn't decide on a new member for their family of three, including their dog Dodger.
“The question is, do we take the puppy route or adopt an older dog?” Avengers The star told the outlet.
“Every time you see one of those stories about an eight- or nine-year-old dog that's been adopted and has had a tough life, it kills you. And to some extent, that's what we've been thinking.”
Despite their eagerness to welcome a new pet into their home, Evan said they haven't done so yet.
She continued, “We've always said, 'Well, maybe we'll just go to the shelter,' and I'm like, 'Listen, do you really think we're going to walk over there and not come out with at least one dog?' There's no way. So if we make the decision to walk in the door, we're going to walk out with one.”
She added: “I'd like to know if that's what he (Dodger) wants. I'd like to be able to ask him because he loves being around dogs.”
