After the court initially denied the motion, Cher's son Elijah Blue Allman has now received approval to dismiss his divorce from wife Mariangela King.

According Page sixCourt paperwork filed earlier this week said the request was granted “without prejudice,” allowing Elijah to refile the motion later.

The 47-year-old singer initially filed for dismissal on January 3 to restore his eight-year marriage. However, the dismissal was denied weeks later due to a temporary support order that was in effect.

The judge's alternative ruling came Monday, shortly after Cher's attempt to gain guardianship of her son was denied.

Judge Jessica A. Uzcategui ruled that Elijah has proven that he has “managed his finances, has an apartment, and has remained drug-free” after submitting several negative tests.

Along with his legal team, Elijah appeared in court alongside his 36-year-old wife, who insisted that her husband does not need guardianship.

Mariangela also told the outlet that Cher “historically excluded” her from making decisions about Elijah's care, citing the time the singer allegedly “kidnapped” her son to rehab and placed him in a “locked cage.” .
