Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth won't have to compete for anyone's “attention” anymore: He married his girlfriend Brooke Sansone earlier this month at his family's home in Montecito, California.
“When I was up there, I never felt more connected to Charlie,” Sansone told Vogue, which has exclusive rights to the wedding photos. “It was like time stood still. Without realizing it, we had both included the same phrase in our vows: ‘It’s always been you.’”
Puth, 32, and Sansone, 25, began dating in 2022 and got engaged on Sept. 5, 2023, about a year before their Sept. 7 wedding.
The wedding took place in the driveway of the Puth family home in Montecito, in front of a prominent olive tree. Sansone walked down the aisle to Aerosmith's “I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing” performed by the Sunday Service Choir in a Danielle Frankel gown. She said she tried on 30 dresses and decided on a custom one.
A representative for Puth declined to comment further when contacted by The Times.
Sansone told Vogue that she wanted her wedding to reflect her “love of styles that combine the refined with the playful,” with mini hot dogs served on silver platters, a carrot wedding cake, and floral arrangements made from sunflowers. Embroidered calla lilies (real ones were in Sansone’s bouquet) peeked out of waiters’ apron pockets.
Puth wore a personalized Bode shirt embroidered with the wedding date, the chosen phrase — “Us, forever” — and Sansone's nickname for him, Melon.
The newlyweds' first dance was to Puth's live Meadowlands version of Bruce Springsteen's “Jersey Girl,” a throwback to their childhood New Jersey roots.
While the “See You Again” singer might not be writing any hit breakup songs anytime soon, his lyrics and part of his vows to his new wife — who has already changed her last name on social media — did appear in an Instagram video from the wedding.
“Thank you for making me the happiest man alive,” Puth wrote in another Instagram post. “It’s always been you.”
