Busta Rhymes denies the accusations in the demand of the former assistant

Busta Rhymes is rejecting level claims against him in a lawsuit filed this week by a former assistant, qualifying him as “shaking attempt.”

Dashiel Gables, who filed the lawsuit on Monday at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, is accusing Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith Jr., of salary and hours violations, as well as assault, aggression and intentional inflicence of emotional anguish.

“I have realized the statements made by Dashiel Gables, and Nigo completely and categorically these accusations,” Rhymes said in a statement to The Times. “For a very brief period, Dashiel helped me, but it didn't work. Apparently, Dashiel has decided to respond to them to be made of manufacturing against me in an attempt to attack and damage my reputation.”

Rhymes, 53, said he is preparing an accountant and is “sure [it] Expose this for what it is: an attempt to shake by a former discontent assistant. ”

In the lawsuit, which was reviewed by The Times, Gables alleges that Rhymes repeatedly called him an insult related to sexuality and made fun of his poor audience by telling him to “get a hearing aid.” He also says that he was categorized inappropriately as a salaried employee and that overtime was not paid despite the fact that he was allegedly required to work shifts of 15, 16 and 18 hours for a plane of $ 200 per day.

The demand says that it should perform “servile tasks”, including the search for cigarettes for the rapper.

The demand says that Gables, 44, accompanied Rhymes on tour from the beginning of July to the beginning of September last year, seven days a week, without receiving extra travel or time, then worked for him from 2 pm to 8:30 am without paying his daily rate from September 3, 2024, until January 10.

On that last day, the demand alleges, Rhymes “ended constructively” the use of the gables “by hitting him repeatedly in the face” after his assistant first is disassembled for not immediately bringing a chicken pan “of catering” from the rapper car, then chewing gables for sending a text to his youngest daughter during the hours of work.

Gables “tolerated a lot of abuse while working for Busta Rhymes, could not tolerate the repeated physical assault and could not return to work,” says the complaint, and added that Gables went to the hospital for the treatment of bruises and swelling and presented a police report on the alleged assault. He did not return to work.

After Gables presented the police report, he was “frozen outside the hip-hop music industry,” the complaint alleges. He is looking for payment backwards, as well as compensatory and punitive damage and is asking for a jury trial.
