Bonnie Wright makes special request for 'Harry Potter' TV adaptation

Harry Potter Star Bonnie Wright, who played the role of Ginny Weasley, has some ideas for the upcoming TV adaptation of the Warner Bros. franchise.

Talking with Variety Sunday, September 1st at the Back to Hogwarts At an event at New York's Grand Central Terminal, he made a special request for the upcoming television series.

It is worth mentioning that JK Rowling's best-selling novel, Harry Potter, is being adapted by HBO into a television series.

Bonnie said she wanted to see scenes that didn't appear in the original films in the next series.

“There’s a lot of stuff. There’s more of the development of the relationship between Ginny and Harry. There are nuanced moments where they start to fall in love,” she told the outlet.

At the event, the 33-year-old actress led the iconic countdown as Hogwarts students board the train to the wizarding school each year.

She continued, “I think it’s more about that arc of her character becoming a true, loyal companion to Harry and how she really understands and knows his history and who he is and is the best companion for him.”

Bonnie added: “I hope we see that evolution of that character, and so many other characters. I wish we could have had five-hour movies.”

“There are so many characters that have moments that I love from the books, Neville and Luna, so as a fan of the books, I look forward to seeing more,” she added.

The HBOs Harry Potter The series is expected to premiere in 2026.
