Blake Lively will star as Lily Bloom in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel. It ends with us.
On Sunday, Lively took to Instagram to share her deep connection with her character.
Lively revealed a personal passion for floristry that aligns perfectly with Lily's profession in the film.
In the caption she wrote: “I always thought I was a florist, long before I ever played at it. I buy flowers from the corner store, bring them home, reassemble them and give them new life. Since I moved to the city at 19, that has been one of my creative and meditative pillars.”
“It's design, it's interacting with nature, it's a multi-sensory joy. Whenever I get the chance to make a garden from scratch and put together new floral arrangements, I feel like the luckiest person on the planet. It's pure peace. No, I'm not kidding. I'm just honest with flowers. Ugh, pure honesty,” the Gossip Girls star added.
In a nod to her best friend Taylor Swift's song I hate being here from his album, The Department of Tortured Poets Lively commented: “I hate this place.”
Lively recalled: “The last slides are from me arranging the flowers for the @itendswithusmovie press with @isabela.ferrer. It's so cool to see our personalities reflected in the flowers. That's why I love this stuff.”
“I'm fascinated by how much you learn about people when you see them create in different mediums. We were in a hurry, but I'm proud of our arrangements,” she concluded.
