Big Sean has spoken about how he shares an incredible bond with James Gunn, the co-president of DC Studios.
In an interview with Complexhe Mercy The rapper recalled how he once discovered that the film director was his neighbor.
“I've been lucky enough to have these friends,” the actor said, revealing, “Another friend of mine who's probably an unknown is James Gunn.”
The 36-year-old rapper went on to say, “He (Gunn) ended up being my neighbor for a while, and I don’t want to say what event happened, but an event happened where the whole neighborhood was outside, and he was like, ‘Big Sean? ’ I was like, ‘James Gunn, what the fuck? ’”
While speaking about their unlikely bond, the I Know hitmaker shared: “We started connecting and I’m an ultra-comedy nerd. And I was talking to him like, ‘Man, I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy“I love how you changed it from the comic.” He said, “Fuck, come smoke a cigar with me and talk.”
Sean added that they ended up just having a good time and he said, “come on set with him while Gunn was directing.” Superman.
He also noted that his famous neighbor has in fact been busy and hasn’t been able to come over, but that they have been in touch. “But that’s my guy, he doesn’t even play like James Gunn,” he said.
