Australia won the toss and elected to play Afghanistan first at the Arnos Vale Stadium in St Vincent in the Super 8 clash of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday.

This is a must-win match for Afghanistan as a loss would knock them out of the semi-final race.

Australia, on the other hand, won their first Super 8 match against Bangladesh and another win today will help them qualify for the semi-finals, along with India in Group 1.

Match referee Sir Richie Richardson is unwell and will not be able to carry out his duties in this match. He has been replaced by Jeff Crowe, who will referee remotely.
