The stars are like us (more or less).
In an interview on Tuesday with The Wall Street JournalAubrey Plaza shared her all-too-familiar experience of forgetting the password to her Max account. The consequence of that memory lapse, however, wasn't so common: She never saw her own Emmy-nominated performance. (Yes, this explanation, like that of many great TV shows and movies, requires suspension of disbelief.)
Plaza, who rose to stardom on the sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” garnered widespread praise for her portrayal of resourceful employment lawyer Harper Spiller in the second season of Mike White’s “The White Lotus.” In its second year, the black comedy-drama He received 23 Emmy nominations. —including Plaza's award for best supporting actress in a drama—and won in five categories.

Last year, Plaza said Vanity Fair about a similar issue he had when trying to stream Bravo's “Top Chef.”
“[I] “I couldn’t figure out how to get Hulu+ Live. I give up! I can’t. I just can’t,” she said, adding that she regularly resorts to buying TV shows and movies on iTunes. “My husband is like, ‘You can literally watch that for free on HBO Max.’”
Even if he managed to resolve the technical difficulties, Plaza could still avoid becoming his own audience.
“Unless you're producing something,” he said in Vanity Fair Scene Selection Video Series“I usually don’t see it.”
But the star of “Emily the Criminal” doesn't have to watch her own shows to feel connected to her characters, including Harper Spiller.
“I found [Harper] “She’s very likeable. I identify with her a lot in many ways. Because from the beginning you realize that she’s not really from this world of the ultra, ultra rich,” Plaza said. The times in 2022. “She is our gateway into that world, in a way.”
