Amy Robach and TJ Holmes frequently tipped at the bar at the beginning of their relationship
Amy Robach and TJ Holmes apparently had a known love of alcohol during their first meetings.
He Good morning America 3 Friends knew the hosts enjoyed after-work drinks, a source says. She may have even helped their romance develop, according to Page six.
Robach and Holmes had “drinks all day after the meetings,” a source claims.
This comes after their recent confession to heavy drinking in 2023. Robach and Holmes admitted to drinking over the past year, after having lost their GMA 3 events.
Robach confessed: “I didn't have a job and I was away from many friends and family. We were hiding. So what did I do? I drank too much. Much more than I've ever had. “I don't think I've spent a full year drinking every day and that was 2023 for me.”
He explained that he got drunk to maintain an “elevated state of mind during a year of anxiety.”
Meanwhile, Holmes confessed that the two would run miles for fun and finish their runs at a bar. “Now we will run at 8 or 9 in the morning…. and I come back and we have a beer,” he said.
Then he drank during lunch and “easily had a drink at [his] hand from two in the afternoon until seven, eight, nine, ten at night.”
“So you do those numbers and that's one drink per hour for another eight hours, or even less, but that's another eight hours of drink in hand, plus the four I had during the day,” he shared.
The couple are now taking on the Dry January challenge, which involves going the entire month without drinking.
