Alix Lapri de 'Power' arrested children under suspicion of children


Alix Lapri, who portrayed Effie Morales in the Starz “Power” show, was arrested last week in Atlanta under suspicion of cruelty to children in third degree and disorderly behavior, according to the county records.

The actor, whose full name is Alexus Lapri Geier, was released the next day. The details about the circumstances surrounding the arrest of August 17 were not clear immediately.

The 28 -year -old actor appeared in several “Power” episodes, as well as his sequel, “Power Book II: Ghost”. He also had a role in the movie “Den of Thieves.” But Lapri hit the care center as a singer.

He launched an EP in 2012 entitled “I Am Alix Lapri”. Lapri also appeared in Bet's comedy “Reed among the lines” next to Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

The state of Georgia considers that cruelty with third grade children is a minor crime.

The Lapri manager did not respond on Tuesday to a comment request by The Times. The calls to the Dekalb County Sheriff's office were not immediately returned.
