Alex Cooper doesn't hold back when it comes to his love for Taylor Swift.
According to a new report from PEOPLE Magazinehe calls his daddy The host opened up about her deep devotion to Swiftie during the Nov. 7 episode of Owen Thiele's podcast. in your dreamseven joking that Taylor Swift was his “shitty awakening for women.”
During this chat, Cooper, 31, couldn't help but point out a poster for Swift's Fearless album hanging behind Thiele in the studio.
Once she saw it, nostalgia hit her instantly and she said, “I can't stop looking at the Fearless album behind your head.”
She continued: “Those songs changed my life. Fearless was my time as a kid when I was really starting to like boys…”
“Did you like girls before?” —Thiele joked.
“We're getting to that point,” Cooper joked, before revealing how deeply he latched onto Swift's music during his teenage years.
“I really discovered that I was a loser and [Swift] He was my connector of like, 'He doesn't love me.' But at one point I almost idealized the guys who hated me, like I thought it was cool that they rejected me because then I had Taylor to listen to.”
“You had a crush on Taylor,” Thiele laughed.
“Yeah, she was my fucking awakening for women,” Cooper joked.
“Sorry, Taylor, that's weird.”
Cooper's enthusiasm for Swift is nothing new as he previously said in an interview with PEOPLEnamed Swift as a top guest on his dream podcast.
“OMG, I would say two people: Ms. Taylor Swift or Rihanna. Period,” he shared at the time.
“I feel like those two women have built incredible empires and I respect them both very much, and I would be honored to sit down with either of them.”
