Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed came out of hiding on Monday and secured transit bail from the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
PHC Chief Justice Mohammad Ibrahim Khan approved the transit bail plea of the PTI leader, who had not been seen in public for a few months.
The court awarded Javed bail compensation of Rs 100,000 and ordered the PTI senator to appear before the appropriate court.
Speaking to reporters outside the court, he expressed his joy at the granting of bail, noting that “we are all going through difficult times. I hope all the oppressed return home.”
The same judge also approved PTI's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief ministerial candidate Ali Amin Gandapur's transit bail petition against sureties worth Rs 100,000 in a case registered against him in Islamabad.
PHC's CJ Khan had last week also approved PTI general secretary and Prime Minister's Office candidate Omar Ayub Khan in two dozen cases registered against him in different parts of the country.
