FAISALABAD: At least two people died and seven others suffered burns after a house in Faisalabad's Shareef Pura neighborhood caught fire due to a laptop battery explosion on Wednesday, rescue officials said. Geographic news.

According to rescuers, the house, located on the Satyana road, caught fire while the battery of the laptop that exploded was being charged. The fire was put out later, they added.

At least nine family members, including five children and two women, residing in the house were rushed to Allied Hospital following the unfortunate incident, rescue officials said.

Regional Police Officer Dr Muhammad Abid Khan has ordered the Senior Superintendent of Police to launch an investigation into the incident.
