Self-proclaimed Satoshi Craig Wright investigates Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin
U.Today – In an unexpected turn of events today, self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto Craig Wright attacked the creator of, Vitalik Buterin. Wright reviewed a series of posts by Buterin in 2017, where he talked about early versions of the Ethereum protocol.
At the time, Buterin had responded to a question about the possibility of building Ethereum on top of Ethereum, expressing concern about possible conflicts with the Bitcoin development team. He cited fears that the protocol's rules could change, making it difficult for him to build on a base protocol that is at odds with his vision.
Fast forward to January 2024, Wright took the opportunity to comment on Buterin's previous comments. He argued that Ethereum only exists thanks to centralized development teams that have the power to alter the protocol. Wright reflected on the hypothetical scenario of having everything built on Bitcoin, imagining a more agile and less fragmented system.

Wright's comments add fuel to the long-running rivalry between Bitcoin and Ethereum, highlighting fundamental differences in their approaches to decentralization and protocol governance.

Furthermore, it revives the debate about centralization in both cryptocurrency ecosystems. On the one hand there is OFAC's censorship of ETH transactions; On the other side is the enormous concentration of BTC in the hands of whales and miners.
