Lisk, a layer-2 blockchain dedicated to bringing Web3 adoption back to emerging markets, is excited to announce its new partnership with Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital, an initiative of the Indonesian Government’s Directorate General of Information Technology Applications, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (DGIA MCIT). This collaboration introduces Ignit3, Indonesia’s first government-backed Web3 program, which aims to foster local innovation and accelerate the Web3 startup ecosystem by providing necessary resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Ignit3 was publicly introduced during a special side event hosted by Lisk at Coinfest Asia 2024 in Nuanu, Bali on August 22. This event marks an important step in promoting the growth of Web3 in Indonesia and will provide detailed information on the program’s goals, benefits, and participation opportunities.

Lisk’s partnership with Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital is designed to support and scale Web3 projects and entrepreneurs in Indonesia, leveraging government backing to provide crucial resources and mentorship. The collaboration will foster a thriving Web3 ecosystem by combining Lisk’s expertise with Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital’s strategic guidance, enhancing local innovation and driving the future of blockchain technology in the region.

“Our new partnership with Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital and the launch of Ignit3 underscore our commitment to fostering Web3 innovation in emerging markets,” said Dominic Schwenter, COO of Lisk. “By leveraging government support and focusing on local startups, we aim to empower developers, improve financial inclusion, and build a strong Web3 community in Southeast Asia.”

Lisk continues its mission to bridge the knowledge gap in blockchain technology and support emerging markets through strategic collaborations and participation in pivotal events. In addition to the Ignit3 announcement, Lisk will continue its active role at Coinfest Asia, with Lisk-branded water stations supporting attendees and encouraging participation in the Layer 2 network. The event will also feature a free NFT coin titled “Lisk of Life” on Rarible by Indonesian artist Yahya Rifandaru and event-exclusive merchandise. Lisk is partnering with wallet provider Xellar to facilitate wallet setup and integration into its network.

Additionally, Lisk is sponsoring the Real World Asset (RWA) program at the ETHSEA hackathon, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the Southeast Asian Ethereum community. The RWA program, co-sponsored by Optimism, will award a prize of $10,000. The collaboration aims to leverage Indonesia’s rich talent pool, focusing on real-world assets and applications while supporting emerging Web3 developers.
