US Vice President pledges support for Israel as she accepts Democratic nomination.
Kamala Harris, the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, has become the first Black woman and the first person of South Asian descent to accept a major party's presidential nomination in the United States.
If elected, she would be the first female president of the United States.
At the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Harris promised to be a leader for all Americans.
He also called for a ceasefire in Gaza and said he defended “Israel's right to defend itself.”
