Hearts are brimming with anticipation as Muslims around the world prepare for the imminent arrival of Ramadan, just days away.

In Saudi Arabia, astronomical calculations predict that Ramadan 2024 will begin on March 11, reported Morocco World News.

According to Moroccan astronomer Hicham El Aissaoui, his projections suggest that Muslims in Saudi Arabia are expected to observe a 30-day fasting period this year.

Muslims in Pakistan and the rest of the world observe the month of Ramadan annually. It is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar during which Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk.

Gulf News reported earlier this week that the International Astronomical Center notes that the central conjunction is scheduled for 9am GMT that day, with the crescent moon expected to set after sunset in most Islamic regions.

As a result, many countries are anticipated to mark the beginning of Ramadan on March 11.
