Washington: The United States is ordering its US diplomatic missions abroad that resume students visas requests, but requires applicants to make their social media profiles public for investigation, on Wednesday a senior state department official said Wednesday.

On May 27, the Trump Administration ordered its missions abroad to stop programming new appointments for visas applicants for student and exchanges visitors while the State Department prepared to expand the investigation of the investigation of social networks of foreign students.

The Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, said that the updated orientation would be launched once a review was completed.

On Wednesday, a state department official, who speaks under anonymity, said that, according to the new guide, consular officers will carry out a “comprehensive and exhaustive investigation” of all applicants for visitors to students and exchanges.

“To facilitate this investigation, all non -immigrant visa applicants will be asked F, M and J to adjust the privacy configuration in all their social media profiles to the 'public'. Publications can resume the programming of visa requests F, M and J,” said the official.

“The improved social networks will ensure that we are properly evaluating all the people trying to visit our country.”

The Trump administration officials have said that the holders of Visas of Students and Green Cards are subject to deportation about their support for the Palestinians and the criticism of Israel's behavior in the war in Gaza, qualifying their actions a threat to the foreign policy of the United States and accusing them of being pro-hamas.

Trump's critics have called for an attack on the rights of freedom of expression under the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
