Attacks between President Biden and former President Trump turned personal in Thursday night's debate.
Biden began cursing, recounting what a military general allegedly told him: that Trump called veterans “a bunch of losers and fools.”
“My son was not a loser. He’s not a fool,” Biden said, referring to his late son, Beau, who served in the Army in Iraq. Then, pointing a finger in the air at his opponent, Biden added: “You’re the fool. You’re the loser.”
Trump called the quote a lie: “To think that, in front of generals and others, I would say, 'Fools and losers,'” Trump said. “He invented fools and losers. So he should apologize to me right now.”
Biden and Trump then discussed criminal cases that have involved the former president and Biden's other son, Hunter. A jury recently found Hunter Biden guilty of three counts: lying on a federal background check form, making a false statement, and possessing a gun while he was using drugs.
“When you talk about a convicted felon, your son is a convicted felon. At a very high level. “His son is convicted, he will probably be convicted many more times, he should have been convicted sooner, but his Department of Justice let the statute of limitations expire,” the Republican candidate said, before adding that Biden could be convicted once he leaves office. post. “This man is a criminal. A jury found that Trump authorized payments to his personal lawyer to silence him and prevent publication of a story alleging that Trump had sex with Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress.
“And think about all the civil penalties they have… for doing a whole host of things, like having sex with a porn star… while their wife was pregnant,” Biden said. “What are you talking about? “They have the morals of a stray cat.”
Trump reiterated his argument that he did not have sexual relations with Daniels and that the case, which he is appealing, was politically motivated. He noted that he raised a record amount of money after the verdict was handed down.

Trump told moderator Dana Bash that he would accept the 2024 results if they were “fair.”
“You’re a whiner,” Biden told Trump about his refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election. “I doubt you’ll accept it because you’re a whiner… Something broke inside you when you lost the last time.”
