Struggle
- The Russian drones attacked the Puerto del Mar Negro de Odesa de Ukrania early on Thursday, causing fires and damaging homes and infrastructure, said the regional governor.
- In Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine in Northeast, the mayor said that another Russian drone had hit a service station in the city center, causing a fire.
- The Ukraine SBU security agency attributed the responsibility of a drone strike in a defense manufacturing center in Russia. The strike at the Murom instrument construction plant, 300 km (186 miles) east of Moscow, caused a fire and damaged two buildings, said the governor of the region.
- The Russian air defense units destroyed 34 Ukrainian drones during the night, Russian news agencies reported, citing the country's ministry of defense.
- The main military commander of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskii, said the Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of their combat activity in eastern Ukraine, despite the fact that Moscow declares a high fire of three days from May 8 to 10.

- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said that Putin had expressed his willingness to direct conversations with Ukraine, but that there was still no kyiv response.
- The Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, replied saying that Ukraine was ready for peace conversations in any format if Moscow was registered in a high unconditional fire.
