Being rejected after a job interview or exam never leaves a candidate sad, but a rude rejection email demotivates them for a long period.

A rejection email from Elite Software Automation, a US-based information technology (IT) company, has gone viral for its aggressive tone and rudeness. NDTV reported.

The email was sent to an applicant who had tested for a frontend software engineer position. The screenshot of the email was shared on Reddit's “antiwork” forum, causing shock among thousands of users.

The email acknowledges the candidate's application for the position and informs them that their application was rejected because they did not pass the automated online test.

The email also warns the candidate that they will be permanently blacklisted if they attempt to apply for the same position before the end of the year.

“Any repeated attempts to apply for this position again before this time, or any attempt to retake the test will result in an automatic rejection of your application, as well as your profile being blacklisted from any future applications “the email said.

The email also mentions that the company does not accept excuses, such as “not feeling well on the day of the test, or if you were in a hurry, or if your internet went out, or any other excuse you have, it doesn't matter.” “

The email adds: “You were given the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a blind and fair test that is the same for all candidates and focuses solely on skills and abilities. You failed to score high enough on this test.

“Instead of blaming us, you should examine what you can do to improve those capabilities and skills. Maybe you could use this self-reflection to improve and improve your life.”

The screenshot of the email has provoked largely negative reactions.

“Honestly, that's the harshest rejection letter I've ever seen,” one user wrote.

“Seriously this is like a walking red flag, imagine how they treat their actual employees,” said another.

“Jesus Christ, I'd make sure to apply again just to make sure this excuse of a company blacklists me,” one more user commented.
